Fordite From Corvettes Pendant Sterling Silver. Fordite is made from hunks of layers of paint from the auto factory paint booths. This particular piece is from Corvettes (year 2002) when they were painted, the paint that sprayed onto the wall of the spray booth built up into layers. The 'chunk' was cut and shaped and polished by a lapidary artist. Then I set the 'stone' into silver and hug it on a sturdy sterling silver chain that is 22 inches long with a silver lobster claw clasp and a silver tag with my stamp. The length of the pendant is a bit over an inch including the hanging ring, the width is about 5/8 inch. The chain can be changed to 20, 18 or 16 inch upon request. This will be mailed priority mail
